Daughter bulbs are bulbs developed in leaf axils or in the inflorescence (cf. bulbils). Daughter bulbs as well as bulbils may dissolve from the mother plant and ensure dispersal and vegetative propagation (e. g. in Allium vineale – Wild Onion).
