With insect pollination, the pollen is transported by insects to other flowers. Many insect-pollinated flowers provide nectar (Lamium – Deadnettle) or pollen (e. g. in Magnolia – Magnolia) as nutrition and/or attract pollinators by e. g. notable coloured petals (e. g. in Ranunculus – Buttercup) or odour (e. g. in Berberis – Barberry).
