In a strict sense, the term 'grass-like' refers to the Poaless. str., which include the Poaceae – Grass family, Cyperaceae – Sedge family, Juncaceae – Rush family. By extension, all species with a grass-like habitus may be included (e. g. also Plantago lanceolata – Ribwort Plantain).
