awn-shaped apex
An 'awn-shaped
apex' is a long thin tip. In contrast to a 'genuine'
awn, the
lamina is
not distinctly segregated from the tip, but rather gradually segues into it (e. g. at the
leaves and
petals of
Galium mollugo – Hedge Bedstraw).
