The perianth-leaves are referred to as tepals, if the inner and outer whorl of the perianth-leaves are of similar habit or if only 1 whorl of perianth-leaves is present (e. g. in Lilium – Lily). Flowers with a perigone may be haplo- or homochlamydeous, respectively.
